Bolzano is beautiful and this was a wonderful hotel.

Great location, lovely rooms, so clean. Breakfast was so nice which was a nice bonus.

Nothing really, just felt bit as welcomed when we arrived but everyone after that was delightful.

A perfect escape

The hotel is a short walk from the train and only 3 minutes from the Cable car. Bolzano is a lovely town and the hikes from the top Soprabolzano were exceptional with the amazing autumn colours. This was the best hotel and breakfast we found in Italy.

We enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Steigl Scala and only wish our stay was longer.

Location was convenient to Trains and Buses. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was spacious and bed was comfortable. Breakfast was great and served in a nice setting. Hotel parking was right across street in a secure underground garage. We would stay at this hotel again.

Very good value!! Will definitely recommend to others and would stay here again.

Loved the balcony, spacious and comfortable room. Location was great. The Bolzano card was a surprise that we took advantage of. The gondola was a few blocks away that offered a quick trip up mountain with amazing views. Breakfast was also very good , can order up your eggs done your way. Limited free parking.

The chestnuts falling from the trees out back were a little loud….nothing earplugs couldn’t handle and much better than street traffic, once you knew what it was

Quiet and pleasant hotel run very professionally with a very good breakfast.

Although we only stayed one night, our impressions of the hotel are very positive. Excellent service in the restaurant at dinner time (with delicious meals) and a comprehensive breakfast in the morning. Reception staff were helpful and gave us the complimentary city tickets that gave us free access to the excellent museum of archaeology (home to Oetzi the ice msn, and an excellent museum). The old town of Bolzano was quite charming and I wish we could have stayed longer. We booked a family room which worked well for us - a main bedroom with a second bedroom separated from this by a small entry lobby. We didn’t get a chance to use the gym facilities but these looked quite good.

Would definitely stay here again!

Only a few minutes' walk from the train station and the town center and a stone's throw away from the cable car to Oberbozen. I had arrived a few hours earlier than check in time yet the amazing staff had a room available for me upon arrival and as I had requested (with a balcony), which allowed me to start exploring the environs after I had settled in my room. I especially appreciated the tourist pass which allowed me to travel on all public transport in the region free of charge during my stay. Other lovely touches were the room amenities (especially the bathrobe). The breakfasts were varied and ample and a great way to start your day. Also noteworthy is the on-premises restaurant, which serves up local and national dishes and is a wonderful, peaceful way to enjoy an evening meal away from the touristy crowds.

A very good hotel within walking distance from the train station, centrum and funiculum to the mountain above Bolzano. Room big and clean, good restaurant at the hotel and very good breakfast.

Very Good

A nice pit stop through northern Italy. Having hotel parking is essential as street parking is scarce so close to the old town.(Walking distance). Breakfast is good and rooms spacious.

Additional guidance prior to arrival is required especially as parking is on the opposite side of the street and entrance to parking is before the main building entrance. As street parking is limited and the street is one way initial entry can be a little tricky.

Came for skiing for myself and my daughter, and for sightseeing for my wife since she doesn't sky.

The breakfast was great. The accommodations were wonderful. The room's size was bigger than expected, plus there was a balcony. The locating was 5 min walking from the historic center. The free garage for hotel customers right across the street.
